The Peter A. Yeager Memorial Scholarship Program

In recognition of Pete's commitment to educating and inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders, the scholarship program provides financial support to students majoring in environmentally-focused engineering, science, or education programs.

The scholarship is available to students entering their junior or senior year at a qualified four-year college, majoring in an environmental concentration of engineering, science, or education. Scholarships of up to $2,000 each will be awarded, depending on the number and qualifications of applicants.

An academic transcript and two letters of reference must accompany the application, or must be sent separately to the Foundation by the annual application deadline.

Applicants will be screened and an awardee selected by the Foundation Board of Trustees. The award may be used only for tuition, and will be paid directly to the college of attendance. A number of criteria will be considered including academic excellence, career plans, and demonstration of prior community involvement. Preference may be given to applicants who are graduates of Erie Cathedral Prep or a Crawford County high school.

Spouses, children, descendants, spouses of children or descendants, or any other persons related to the Foundation, its directors or officers, are not eligible to receive a scholarship.
